What Makes a Good Life? The Secret To Happiness

“We each move forward secure on our own Earth, not the earth of others. Happiness is something we must create for ourselves. No one else can give it to us.” — Daisaku Ikeda

I have partnered with Say Your Peace to share this motivational and empowering message with you.

There are many guides out there that can help you along in your journey of wellness and self realization. I’m one of them. And, I’m glad you’re here! Say Your Peace is another one as well.

The work, however, comes back to you. It ends up being what you do, that fulfillment to achieve something, to overcome, to learn the tools. When it’s not given to you, and you work for it, that creates the happiness.

The happiness, then, ends up being a byproduct. I hope this is making sense with you. Let me know below. We can go deeper into this. The happiness you’re getting isn’t because you actually reach the goal. It’s because you learned how to achieve it yourself.

If you were just given something, right, it’s very short lived. If you earn your way towards it, that is where the true gratitude, appreciation, and the happiness comes. It’s not the goal, I promise you that!

So, your path on Earth needs to be walking towards, finding and falling in love with that journey. It has nothing to do really with reaching that goal! Think of it, when you reach a goal, you just want to change the goal. Now you move the mile marker, or you change what you’re after — it continuously changes.

Instead of looking towards the goal, you fall in love with the journey. That’s walking your own Earth, you’re creating your own path! As you create your own path, you wind up creating your own happiness.

I’d love to hear from you if this was inspirational.
