Top Travel Fitness Instagram Accounts to Follow for Inspiration

Feeling uninspired to workout when you’re traveling for work (or leisure)? Or you get to your hotel and the gym is a bit dull? While we can’t always control our surroundings, we do have control over how we react and our mindset.

Sourced from the Queen of Visual inspiration — Instagram — I’ve rounded up the top fitness travel accounts to get you committed to moving your body on your next trip. We’re hitting all categories, selecting experienced and professional fitness trainers, expert travelers, and fellow business road warriors.

You’ll notice this Instagram Round-Up List is a bit different than the expected. Instead of focusing on follower counts, I prefer to focus on the quality of content and mission behind the creator.

Why Follow
I’ve been following Tanya for a while now, the Road Warrior behind this account and her impressive blog. Inspiring frequent travelers to be stronger and make healthy choices, having such similar missions (and handle names) is just another reason I connect with this woman so well. She’s a frequent traveler who walks her talk, posting healthy on the road food finds, hotel gym pics, and suggested reading inspiration.

If you’re a corporation, similar to myself, Tanya offers personalized corporate wellness plans, fitness events, and plan-ahead, no excuses agendas to keep business travelers on track with their well-being.

Mission

A post shared by 35 Thousand (@35thousand) on

Why Follow

Created from founder Misty Reich’s experience with frequent business travel, it’s appropriately name 35Thousand for the cruising altitude — but, I’m sure you already knew that, smart warriors. While her focus is more in beauty and wellness, @35Thousand is specifically for the female frequent traveler. This speaks true to my heart for the female warrior, with more women on the road traveling than ever, and that number increasingly growing.

The graphic designer in me leaped with joy when I saw the gorgeous aesthetic of this woman’s feed. Take a peek and you’ll see for yourself. It’s clean, balanced, and INSPIRING with her messages and insider “Did you know…?” posts. Do you see what I see, warriors? Comment in below.

Mission
“Unfiltered info and inspo for the well-travelled by the well-travelled.”

A post shared by SANCTIFLY (@sanctiflyclub) on

Why Follow
As a Travel Wellness Agent, Speaker and Content Curator for Sanctifly, I’m a little biased — but, with great reason! Airports have so much “dead time” where we’re unproductive, stagnant and sitting around eating and drinking to…do more sitting, eating and drinking. Sanctifly gives its members access to lounges, hotel spas and gyms, tips on where to eat to grab a healthy bite, and how to best make use of that layover time or delayed flight to stay fit and healthy while on the road.

We’re adding content and expanding our access every month. Skies truly are the limit with Sanctifly and Live Free Warrior for what we’re sharing and creating in the upcoming months for frequent business travelers!

Mission
“The global provider of wellness options and activities at airports changing the way we travel.”

If you’re seeking tips and travel advice, the website has guides, hacks and more.

“A luxury travel, wellness and lifestyle website. We help you to travel and live well.”

A post shared by Kira Stokes – kirastokes.com (@kirastokesfit) on

Why Follow
Kira is a celeb trainer, NASAM certified and the real deal when it comes to fitness. The definition of “Tiny but really Tough,” I had the chance to meet and train with Kira a few months back in Miami. Humble, down to earth, full of smiles, and mobile, her instagram profile is full of life and fitness videos to inspire even the laziest of us plane potatoes.

Workout at a museum while waiting in line? Make it happen (see photo above). Time in an airport? Get to some squats. Kira proves you can workout anywhere, and has an ondemand site that you download for road warrior fitness workouts to take with you anywhere.

Mission
“Get Stoked!”

Conclusion.

Still think you have a valid excuse to not work out? Think again! After connecting with these road and fitness warriors, it proves there’s every reason to workout more when traveling. The incredible part of instagram and social media goes beyond the likes and shares. It’s the ability to connect us, inspire each other and offer insight and tools to make us all collectively better, healthier and fit humans.
