The Cove Atlantis Bahamas | Resort Review

A paradise found in my own backyard. Hopping aboard a semi private charter jet with Tropic Ocean Airways over to Nassau Bahamas for my home-base in Miami, I had a weekend getaway at The Cove Atlantis.

Free Wifi Internet Connection throughout most of the property for guests
I kept my cellular service off for the stay, opting to run business, calls, emails, and streaming video off of Wifi. Overall, in most areas, pretty good. Gets spotty in some restaurants and dead spots in the middle of the property.

WHAT WERE THE FIRST IMPRESSIONS?
With private charter and transportation already taken care of, the flight and organization was a breeze. A big thank you to the team at Tropic Ocean Airways for the five-star travel and service. Check them out using LIVEFREEWARRIOR10 to book a private or semi-private trip and try it out for yourself.

Once arriving at The Cove, you’re greeted with friendly faces and a large, open-air entrance. Expansively high ceilings that overlooks the ocean off in a not-so-far distance. To the left, the left, Reception; to the right, VIP Concierge (where we headed). Plan ahead tip, book your dinner reservations and excursions in advance, as more of the popular dinner times were already booked up when we arrived.

WHAT’S THE VIBE LIKE THERE?
There were definitely more kids and families than I was expecting. There certainly was a party vibe as well. This wasn’t a deal-breaker for me; however, if you’re looking for a retreat-like getaway, this may be a bit loud for that intention.

That being said, there are some quiet spaces that I enjoyed, and was able to find a balance with. Some thing I loved at The Cove was exactly that — the cove it’s self. Along the beachfront with pink sands, was one of the most peaceful areas to watch the sunset and walk along in the morning for meditations and seashell hunting.

HOW ARE THE ROOMS?
I absolutely loved the view from the room overlooking the cove. From a distance, you see the cruise ships coming in and out, I watched lightning storm, and from the 19th floor, I got a bird’s eye view of the pool and property from above.

While I’m not always a big fan of carpets, I think this helped keep noise levels down from adjacent rooms and floors, helping me get a better nights sleep. Plenty of outlets and USB plugs for all of my devices and cables, and a four out of five-star comfortable King-size bed to sleep in.

WHAT’S THE GYM, SPA AND WELLNESS AMENITIES LIKE?
I was thoroughly impressed by the size of this gym and the number of cardio machines. You definitely wouldn’t need to wait to use any one of these equipments. Including, they had rooms and studios for fitness classes. Fully air-conditioned, with up-to-date equipment and technology.

WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE?
The second evening I was there, after doing some filming and videography, I decided to catch the sunset from the cove and take a cleanse in the ocean. I met a lovely mother and son, conversing with them how about life in Texas, and connecting over experience of seeing and now swimming with the sea turtle, who has made his way into the cove to snack on some local grass in the bay. Catching a sunset and swimming with a turtle? Pretty magical.

ARE THERE HEALTHY FOOD OPTIONS?
Yes. You need to do a little bit of searching, but there definitely are healthy options. What’s more important to me, they have been more than willing to accommodate my dietary needs. Having specific allergies, it can be tricky, however anything that I wanted steamed without oils or dairy free, they were happy to work around and find away. Noni, Olives, and the grab-and-go Plato’s café we’re some of my favorites.

WHAT WAS THE FAVORITE PHOTO MEMORY, AND WHY?
The ride in on the private charter seeing the turquoise waters of the Bahamas what is the moment that took me back in awe. That and the sunset overlooking the cove.

WOULD YOU GO BACK, FINAL THOUGHTS?
I would venture back for a weekend getaway. Being so close to Miami, and accessible, it’s a quick trip to get out of the country, disconnect, and soak in some pink sands. I would perhaps want to see another neighboring island that’s more retreat or wellness oriented, but there are always options and choices you can find at The Cove to create that vibe for yourself.
