Superfoods Hot Chocolate Recipe

This sweet and superfood hot cocoa beverage will warm your tummy and boost your immunity.

Baby, it’s getting cold outside—time to warm up with a hot cup of cocoa! The cooler weather in the fall and through winter always make me want to cozy up with a blanket, fire, and hot beverage.

This blend of maca powder and raw cacao powder offer a sweet taste that is packed with antioxidants and immunity, minus the sugar typically found in cocoa (not to be confused with cacao).

WHAT IS MACA & CACAO?

“Maca’s first recorded use was by Spaniards in the 16th century and but was used by indigenous healers of the Andes mountains long before this time.” (information from HealthyTruth.com)

BENEFITS OF MACA POWDER

“Maca is a true adaptogen (enables the body to enhance its power of resistance and adapt to external conditions). Mava works with the body’s natural rhythm to rebuild weak immune systems and to increase endurance.

Maca has been known to:

  • increase energy and stamina
  • improve sexual function in men and women
  • reduce hormonal dysfunction during menopause
  • regulate hormonal imbalance
  • enhance mental ability

It’s anticarcinogenic, contains potent antioxidants, and even helps build muscle..” (information from HealthyTruth.com)
