Strawberry Coconut Banana Smoothie Topped with GoMacro Bites

Breakfast or snacks on the go, made easy! For those who think there’s no time for breakfast, or that it has to be complicated, this basic smoothie recipe is a crowd-pleaser and super quick to put together. If time is super crunched in the morning, or perhaps the idea of using a loud blender at 5 am throws your roommates or family into a tailspin, make the smoothie the night before, placing it in the fridge overnight, keeping the toppings separate until eating.

PREP TIME: 3 minutes (or less!)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 C strawberries
  • 1 C Zico Coconut Water
  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • handful of spinach (optional)
  • 1 C of ice (or water, for desired consistency)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place banana, strawberries, ice, seeds, coconut water and spinach in to blender (in that order) — my blender of choice is the Vitamix 750 Pro
  2. On the side, dice up half a GoMacro bar (flavor of your choice!) for topping
  3. Blend! And top with yummy chunks of GoMacro vegan deliciousness!

This recipe is a great base for many other creative creations. Some additional toppings may be dried, unsweetened coconut, goji berries, cacao nibs, or any other tasty superfood of your tastebud choosing. Get creative and experiment in the kitchen!
