The “cancer” is the CAN’T and our job as warriors is to eliminate the can’t and develop strength in the CAN. This goes in nutrition, healthy eating, fitness, careers, relationships, and, well — LIFE!
One of the CAN’Ts I’ve been given in my life has been after chemotherapy that I “can’t go Scuba Diving” by my oncologists and follow-up care specialists. The air in the tanks for Scuba supposedly can trigger something in my lungs that have been slightly damaged from the Bleomycin, one of the chemotherapy drugs I was given. If you know something about me, you know that I am an ocean lover and born mermaid. You literally had to pull me out of the ocean and swimming pool when I was kid to dry off and get rid of my pruney fingers.

So, what’s my CAN? I CAN snorkel. I CAN play in the water endlessly. I CAN soak in some delicious sun (another reason I moved to Miami). I CAN surf, paddle, boat, photography, explore, free dive, jump, cenote…whatever! There’s so much that I CAN do, that the CANNOT is irrelevant.Things brings me JOY. Focusing on the CAN.Dear warriors, shift the focus from a CAN’T to a CAN, and keep that energy in the positive direction of all that you do have within your power and choice.
And, I promise you, after some careful medical examinations in the near future, you’ll find me Scuba Diving. That’s just how I roll!
