05 Sep Feeling Powerless? Do THIS for greater CONFIDENCE and EMPOWERED
Feeling like you are powerless? Gain confidence, overcome feeling overwhelmed and become powerful doing this exercise and tip.
Ever had one of those moments that you feel you are powerless? Like there’s nothing within your control you can’t do anything about the world around you?
I certainly have! I’ve struggled with anxiety for a good part of my life and even today it pops up. It’s part of who I am. But, today, the difference is the tools I’ve developed and now used to handle the anxiety have helped me tremendously.
That’s what I’m going to share with you in this blog. Those moments when you feel I there’s nothing you can do. The world is against me. Nobody likes me. Why is this happening?
Pause there.
That is a victim mentality. And, us as warriors, we need to shift out of being victims and go to our strengths! Our strengths are we can be accountable for and take action on. Or, what we can learn to let go of.

Yesterday I woke up, and being honest, I was not in a great mood. I’m human too! Just like you, and I have my not so awesome moments or mornings — yep, even after coffee.
I woke up not feeling happy, nor ready for the day ahead. One of my tools to change that mindset is movement. So, I went for a run!
But, there was puddles everywhere. Somebody didn’t say thank you when I held the door open for them. I was getting bombarded with messages of people asking me for either posting and writing or jobs that were for free, or in exchange. I was getting people messaging me about you need to be here. We need you at this time to fix this apartment. And we need you over here and I started to feel like everyone was taking my time…
Back to my run. I running an angry, which is not really a great mix. You end up running a lot more! I was running and trying to process what was going on, and that’s a great time to think in movement and exercise. It’s moving the energy within you I’m a big advocate for fitness and movement.
As I was thinking through the process, I said to myself, “these are all external things that are happening. Now, what can I take control up?”
I can’t control how they’re asking me for something. But what I can control is how I’m responding. That’s what I’m responsible for.
I began shifting my mindset from, why is this happening? They’re on top of me to what can I do about it? to What is within my control?
What I could control was, when I was saying yes and no to. What I could control was, how I was approaching my response reply. “Yes, I can do this. But I’m also going to need this as well.” “Nope, you know what, that’s not for me.” “Oh, you want me at this place? Well, I can be here between this time period.”
I’m putting up boundaries for myself, still saying yes or no making choices. However, they’re empowered choices now that someone’s not making those decisions for me where I start to feel cowardly and like, this isn’t top of me.
When you take the warrior approach and you start to make those decisions based on:
- What do I want?
- What do I need?
- How can I approach this for the best outcome?
Then you start to move into a choice mindset. That’s the warrior mindset that takes you from a place of feeling powerless to feeling power fault.
